Artist’s background:
Edna is from the community of Kugluktuk, Nunavut formally known as Coppermine River . She lived there until 1996, when she moved to the South. She loved to go camping with her parents during spring and summer when she was growing up. Edna comes from a long lineage of artists, like carvers, painters, and tapestry makers. She loves challenging herself with new projects. Now that her children are all grown up, she finds sewing relaxing. Edna creates all varieties of sewn and beaded jewelry, bracelets, decors etc. She receives very good feedback from social media on her works.
