Donations of Sewing, Crafts, Materials & Equipment

We accept donations of the following supplies and equipment:

  • Inuit clothing or art pieces needing repair and/or a new home. 
  • Inuit tools that can be repurposed 
  • New fabrics 
  • Furs of all kinds
  • Duffle materials or products in particular
  • Sealskins
  • Antler, bone, stone or ivory materials to work 
  • Stainless steel sheet metal 
  • Sewing notions: elastic, thread, sinew, pins, zippers, etc.
  • Yarn and crochet hooks, knitting needles
  • Broken soapstone, alabaster, jade, granite carvings to be reworked 
  • Sewing machines (to be distributed to Inuit families or individuals) 
  • Workshop hand and/or power tools 
  • Books for our Inuit Artists’ Resource Library on Inuit Culture, Arctic flora & fauna & geography, Inuit history, Inuit Art books, calendars or magazines  
  • Inuktitut books & magazines or translations of documents for Isaruit’s Uqqausilirivvik—our Inuit Interpreters’ and Translators’ Resource Library 
  • Drawing paper, canvases, pencils, paints, other supplies 
  • Beading supplies and other jewelry-making supplies 
  • Canvas tents
