Artist’s background: Valerie grew up in Clyde River, and often went camping and hunting with her family. Her Mom, Elisapee Enuaraq, worked for a few years at Igutaq print studio in the community and would often give Valerie paper and pencils or ink to keep her busy. The person who influenced her the most to explore drawing was her biological father. She enjoys drawing portraits for people and even enjoys the art of cutting hair. Many people come to her for her drawings and she has shipped them across the country.
