Artist’s background: Megan grew up in Clyde River. Her mother started teaching her how to sew parkas and mittens when she was 9. Megan always enjoyed attending school and is now involved in Inuit traditional activities through Piqqusilirivvik. Megan is now a young talented seamtress, who loves to sew any kind of clothing. People in the community often tell her that the items she makes are beautful and love to buy the slippers, kamiks, mitts, hats and parkas that she has made.
