Artist’s background:

Mary is from the community of Umiujaq. She learned basic beading from her mother a few years back, and she has been beading ever since. Mary creates beautiful earrings with beads with sealskin in them. She loves to bead for stress release and finds it calming. Mary now lives in Montreal and continues making beaded jewelry with traditional designs and objects worked into them.
