Artist Background:
Haley is from the community of Rankin Inlet. Growing up she loved to play outside, go hunting and fishing with her Dad and make fried bannock with her family. Haley learned the basics of sewing from her grandmother when she was little and became more interested as Haley got older and learned more from her mom and aunties. Haley is very talented seamstress, loves to make beaded jewelry that have out of beads and fur. She also makes traditional kamiks out of sealskins and caribou skins that she dries and prepares herself. Haley loves to express her culture through her sewing, drawings and jewelry making.
