Artist’s background:
Edna is from the community of Kugluktuk, formally known as Coppermine River . She lived there until 1996, when she moved to the South. She loved to go camping with her parents during spring and summer when she was growing up. Edna has a long line of artists in her family, like carvers, painters, and tapestry makers. She loves to challenge herself with new projects. Edna finds it relaxing when she’s sewing now that her children are all grown up. Edna creates all varieties of sewn and beaded jewelry, bracelets, decors etc. She receives very good feedback from social media on her works.
