Artist’s background: Amanda is a young tanlented seamtress in Clyde River who has taught herself how to sew the parkas, tents and wind pants she now makes on her spare time. When she is not working, she goes camping and berry picking during summer and prepares traditional feasts for her family year round. She knows how to do traditional animal skin preperation and mostly does this when her family goes spring camping and hunting. Amanda loves to go fishing during winter. She is learning how to make kamiks right now.
