0.75 to full-time position – $30 per hour

Start Date: November 7, 2022 

Role: Providing executive support to the Centre Coordinator, and the Board of Isaruit Inuit Arts, Pijunarnnivut.  

Responsibilities:  May include record keeping; reception duties; office organization; proposal writing; report writing; the coordination of activities, programs and special events, such as the upcoming Artists’ Conference; managing Bright HR and Bright Safe files, and automated attendance files, as well as a wide variety of other office and executive tasks. 

Requirements: Excellent written and verbal English skills; Good verbal and written Inuktitut skills (or a willingness to improve and extend basic Inuktitut listening skills); extensive knowledge of Inuit communities, culture and traditions; an appreciation of the cultural value of Inuit visual arts; previous management experience, and a deep understanding and alignment with Inuit Qaujimijaatuqaangiit. This position also requires excellent computer and social media skills, commitment to the Inuit community of Ottawa and Inuit visual artists in Inuit Nunanga, and an  ability to work equally well alone or as a team  member. 

Work expectations: Under the supervision of the Centre Coordinator, work Flexible hours totalling 25 -35 hours per week, either from a home office, in the Isaruit main office at 815 St. Laurent Blvd. Isaruit is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and non-violent working environment.
