Overview

Movement & Breath That Tell Our Stories

From traditional qilautik to modern choreography, the Performing Arts pathway gives Inuit artists of all ages a place to practise, collaborate, and shine. Learn Inuit songs, drum dancing, throat singing and traditional games, refine stage craft, and share in performances that bring elders’ knowledge and wisdom to young Inuit they are mentoring and  carry culture forward.

Blend Tradition with New Media

Explore lighting, projection, and live-mix audio to bring Inuit stories to theatre and film. Guest facilitators will guide creative experimentation and help artists with grant-writing for touring shows.
